Construction supervision activity related to the modernisation of the entire substructure and superstructure of the railway track and overhead line system in the Szolnok – Szajol line section and the construction of a 200 m-long Tisza Bridge.
Project objective:
The interlocking equipment was transformed in the section with the installation of a new turnout zone, named Millér station. A noise barrier wall was installed in 1400 m length in Tallin and Millér districts.
The construction investment involved more than 11 km railway track and 15 km overhead line.
The 65 m bridge structure over the Zagyva River was refurbished in situ. A 450 m long flood protection dam was constructed for the protection of Szajol.
On the new bridge structure, the railway track was constructed with Edilon rail fastening technology and the installation of Green Bridge slab which are suitable for 160 km/h speed and 225 kN axial load. Assembling the bridge structure on the riverbank, pushing it over the river and changing the old and the new bridge structures only took one week, with the restoration of the railway track and the overhead line.
