Complete management of Engineer and construction supervisor tasks in the project.
Project objective: Replacement of the asphalt pavement with concrete on the existing left carriageway of the 2x3-lane M0 express road, built between 1987 and 1990, refurbishment of bridge structures, traffic engineering and environmental upgrades in a total length of 11.55 km.
Scheduled reconstruction of the rutted asphalt pavement on the left carriageway of the existing express road section and the construction of high-strength, two-layer, 26 cm thick concrete pavement with washed surface. Refurbishment of the Deák Ferenc (Háros) Danube bridge with the construction of asphalt pavement, replacement of bearings and expansion joints, installation of a bridge monitoring system.
Reconstructed section: 11.55 km between motorway M6 and main road No. 51 (chainage 11+650–23+200).
10 structures in this section underwent the required renovation. This involved the expansion of the junction bridge of road No. 5101 by one traffic lane. Reconstruction works were carried out on 2x2 lanes with phased traffic diversion and partial closure.The project also involved the construction of protection fences and new noise barrier walls as well as the renovation of existing ones.
As this is the busiest road in Hungary, the biggest challenge was the organisation and diversion of traffic. In addition to the through traffic of M0, dwe had to ensure the access of local traffic to the express road, with taking the partial closure of all affected junctions into consideration.
