Construction supervision activity related to the track construction works of Székesfehérvár railway node, refurbishment of Székesfehérvár railway station, refurbishment of tracks no. 1-9 of the passenger station and tracks no. 10-15 of the freight station and the connecting plain line sections.
Project objective:
The project involved the modernisation and refurbishment of the station. Roofed island platforms were built at the passenger station with a 8 m-wide new pedestrian underpass as access route. Accessible transport is guaranteed by elevators installed in the passenger hall and the island platforms. Noise barrier walls were constructed on both sides of the station in 2 km total length. The refurbishment of the Széchenyi street road underpass and the Hosszúsétatér pedestrian underpass was also completed.
The investment involved the construction of the Szent István street road fly-over.
In the frame of the project, partial reconstruction and renovation of the protected historical station building was carried out in 3800 m2 floor area.
Run-through tracks were built for 100 km/h speed, currently the actual speed is 80 km/h.
The construction investment involved nearly 20 km railway track and 30 km overhead line.

During the project, our Company has been assigned with project management, execution direction tasks and provided the majority of construction supervisors in the specialised fields. Our activities also included cost control and quantity surveying tasks, as well as the certification of the Contractor’s monthly and overall performance.
Modernisation of the interlocking equipment
A new electronic station interlocking equipment was installed in Székesfehérvár station with axial counter train detection. In line with interoperability requirements, an ETCS 2 system was installed at the station with a RBC centre for its operation, adjusted to the Kelenföld (exc.) - Székesfehérvár (exc.) ETCS 2 zone. An electronic station interlocking equipment was installed in the frame of the project.
The operating telecommunication works (fixed and wireless) included the modernisations of telecommunication cables, equipment and systems as well as the optical fiber cable connection and the cable substructure installation with protective tubing between Székesfehérvár – Székesfehérvár-Repülőtér railway stop and Székesfehérvár – Moha station.
In addition, the project involves the works related to the modernisation of the security system of Székesfehérvár railway node (security camera systems, intrusion alarm systems, access control systems).
